Claire is a soprano from Hobart, Australia. She completed a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy at the Queensland Conservatorium. During her studies she was awarded a Griffith University Grant for overseas study after being accepted to complete her final semester on exchange at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester. In 2010, she returned to Queensland Conservatorium to complete a Diploma of Opera under tuition of Joseph Ward OBE. Claire took part in the Opera Queensland young and developing artist program for 2011 and was a semi-finalist in the Australian Singing Competition 2011.

Claire recently completed a 2 year masters course at the Guildhall school of Music and Drama in London, under tuition of Rudolf Piernay. While studying in London she was involved in the chorus of Guildhall school productions “Die lustigen weber von windsor” 2011 and “Our Town” 2012 as well as numerous opera scenes and concert performances. Claire also was involved in British Youth Opera’s production of “The Bartered Bride” in 2012. Claire has performed in masterclasses with many highly esteemed musicians including Graham Johnson, Eugene Astid, Yvonne Kenny, Malcom Martineau, and Edith Wiens and in venues such as Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, and LSO St Luke’s. Claire’s career goals are to one day sing professionally in opera houses in UK and Europe, and at home in Australia.

Claire is now performing with the 7 Sopranos, one of Australia’s most exciting young female voice groups.
